Every year in in September 10 St. George's Caye day and 21st Independence day is our remembered holiday to be respected and remembered. It is a national Bank holiday in Belize and we celebrate this month as our honored month. In Belize in Sepetember is celebrates the largest celebration in the country. People come out to watch the Road March as it is popular; people dance and dress in masquerade through the streets of Corozal, Orange Walk town, and Belize City. This Carnival is like any other popular carnival in the Caribbean.This carnival gives you a feedback to learn and pass on the tradition. for example, in some district they present their culture costume like Mestizo in Orange Walk. As this two holiday 10 St george's Caye day represents the BAttle of St george's Caye and the 21st September reperents our 1981 independence.
Since Tuesday morning a business man from San Pedro Timothy James Callanan was pronunced missing in San pedro. He went to Belize for his appointment and last seen Burd Bradly and never been seen again, including Senior Counsel Dean Lindo went for a hunt for him. He went to check in to a hotel on Golden Tree at around midday on Tuesday. He was suppose to stay only one night in Belize City. But sadly, bad news, Between the hours of five and six in the evening on Wednesday the receptionist decide to clean the room where he was staying, since he didn't showup to check out of his. Surprsingly, she found his body lying facing the bed. She suddenly called for police, to retrieve his body and suicide notes in his room was found. His body was sent at the K.H.M.H for a post-merten. All they can say is for now that it is Suicide. San Pedro residence are shock to here this stricking news and are giving all his best condolences. He was a well known entreprenuership in the San Pedro and a friendly person in the island.

Belize is a welcoming country of loving, cheerish, friendly people, Simply paradise lovely country. Belize is a nation that is known for it's hiden treasure waiting to be discovered and it's tourist destination Belize has. Belize only has two seasons per year Wet and Dry season. Wet season from June to Novemeber and dry season from december to May. English is the first language. As many may ask when they reach in Belize is ''What is Creole?'' Creole is a broken english. Creole descendants of Black African slaves brought to Belize and English and Scottish log cutters, who were known as the Baymen. The Belize Kriol language was then historically only spoken by them, but this ethnicity has become Belizean national identity, and as a result Kriol is now spoken by about 75% of Belizeans. Our second language is Spanish as well. Belize has different culture such as Creole, Mestizo, GarÃfuna, East Indian, Mennonite, Mopan Maya and Kekchi Maya.
If you want to Vacation in Belize, you can begin by looking at what kind of stuffs you want to do. Their is the second largest barrier reef in the world which stretches 8 to 16 miles long and you can explore Mayan ruins, rainforests, mangroves, turtle nesting sites and salt-water crocodile habitats. In the summer time is very high in tempreture so keep your sun screen with you and a spray of bug repelant. Snorkeling in Belize can be fun. Looking at some of snorkeling spots in Belize is Hole Chan Marine Reserve, Mexico Rocks, and Shark Ray Alley. Mainy fish can be seen at every dive. Some would be the parrot fish, sea fans, Grupor, just to name a few. Lighthouse Reef, Turneffe Islands, Glover's reef are visit by some Large boats. It is a shallow area, that it's dept is only 9 feet deep and some patches of coral can be seen in the area. This are the six island that can be seen at the three atolls Sandbore Caye, Northern Caye occupies two island, Pelican Caye, Long Caye. Blue Hole is 1000 feet across and 400 feet deep. It is located in the middle of one of the atoll Lighthouse reef atoll. At 130 feet you can see huge stalgtites hanging off. Bacalar Chico Marine Reserve it is sixty square kilomiter's square mile. Visiting the site can be set by a local tour guides. It is only Accessable by sea. Bacalar Chico is bordered on the north by the Belize/Mexico border and southern boundary marked by the point from San Juan to Robles Point, Bacalar Chico National Park and Marine Reserve (BCNP & MR) was established
in 1996 and is managed by the Fisheries and Forest Departments. ![]() |

Caye Caulker- This island made it's famousy to only a few people in the 17th-century British buccaneers used theisland to buildboats astop for water. The island strecthes 8 miles and 1 mile west. This Caye Caulker is in an area of a feeding site that migrates the route of fish, conch and lobster. It started of when Indian War of the Castes in the Yucatan people sailed their way to this island. Dated from early times when the Spanish name the island "Cayo Hicaco". Reffering Coco Plum which grows wildly on the island. Caye Caulker still remains as one of the fishing islandandboat builder's, but today as tourismistaking over itis now becoming more asa tourist destination. Small businesses are on a slowly lifesyle as the people in the island enjoy it more than others. This island has not changed for quit some time is it placesitself on a quiet vacationing. You can also enjoy your time on a sunset cruise in catamaran or a sailing boat. Caye Caulker and San Pedro can only be access by a water Taxi or either by plan. ![]() |

Mayan Site- Belize has many mayan ruins in the country. The maya ruin which is visited today are Caracol, Xunantunich,Cahal Pech, El Pilar between Belize/Guatemala, La Milpa in Orange Walk District, Lamania, Colha Mayan Ruins, San Estevan, Cerros Mayan Ruin, Santa Rita, Caracol is located in Cayo district. This was the first name put to Carocal Uxwitza Three Water Hill. In the time of 2000BC-200CE Belize was occupied until the time ofthe 16th century when the Spaniards arrived. In the time of the Maya ruin, it said that their was 1 million Maya people during the Classic Maya Period than it is today. Belize Lies on the heart of Maya civilaization. Between 600 – 900 AD maya's were divided into different region kingdom and principalities. Maya Caves isa place hidden into treasure. Bodies had been discovered, portal to the Underworld, where many important deities lived. The Garifuna Collective has been one of Belize's nationwide known for their diver's unique music. Brukdown, Punta rock, Paranda, Maya marimba, Garifuna and Creole drumming;is the famous Belizean style music played in Belize. 42 year old Danny Michel feel in love with the garifuna collectives band, when he heard their music when he was vacationing in Belize about 15 year's ago. Danny Michel which he is a songwritter, has been touring in Canada, Ontario, proving that he could teach the group some music. Ivan Duran, who is known in
Fourteen-year-old Rowan Garel, the visually impaired teenager who conquered Victoria Peak two years ago. He walked for miles for a Walk-a-ton fundraiser, now he was set to dive the Blue Hole on Tuesday July 14, 2013; however, plans to make the descent below the surface of the Caribbean Sea have changed due to the weather. It’s a minor setback given all the preparation that has gone into Rowan’s latest adventure.In this goal he wish to conquer is the first blind person to dive the blue hole. The reason he is doing this is for the porpuse of raising funds for the BVI summer summer camp. He says he was so excited anxious because it was his first time ever. he says that "the quiz was was taken 6 times as each section their is an exam. multiples times I had a heart attack multiple times beacuse of taking the quizzes. The fundraiser plan was to achieve $100,000. Rowan and his father went up to dive for the great experience. The reason it was free, because the services BCVI offers gave Rowan the opportunity to achieve his goal. Rowan says he is being strong in his mind explaining that no disability person should feel ashame of themselves to show who they really are inside them.
Rowan explained that all he want was to dive underwater at the Blue Hole. Instructor Diver Says he hasn't seen somebody learn so quick than his usual students. Entering the Blue Hole it was time for them to go for an experiece. They used hand communication for any assistants. Looking at the Blue Hole View it is Like a tunnel when you dive in the Blue Hole. Joe Garel explained that he was very actrive in his youth Traveling the country, playing sports and doing activities stuff. It is a good expereince to be doing activities with your children, as long as they enjoy it. Rowan was certified as open water with his PADI card. It took a lot of practice and preparation for this to go on in the Blue Hole. Garel explain our family likes to be more on the adventurous type going out hiking, climbing mountains, swimming on the water, ect. Joe Garel explain that this shows Belize how much we have fund of raising to Belize Council for the Visually impaired. Rowan explain that it was a fun experience to feel the water.
