BIGGEST CRYSTAL METH BUST IN BELIZE HISTORY

On Wednesday 20th August 2014 at around 7:20 pm while on Anti-Drug operation in Orange Walk Town members of the Anti-Drug Unit attempted to stop a black Toyota car with the license plate OW-C-00623 which was driving in an divertion  motion across the street. As we got all along side we identified ourselves as police officers and the driver of the car increasing its speed heading towards the Phillip Goldson Highway in the direction of Liberty Avenue where it spin around due to the high speed of travel.  Both persons exited the vehicle and attempted to flee on foot. Police manage to arrest both occupants a short distance away. The driver was then known to be RUPERTO EULALIO REYES 49 YRS D.O.B 27/03/65 a Laborer Belizean of # 5 Sittee River Street Orange Walk Town. The passenger is one PASCUAL TERRERO PINEDA 52 YRS D.O.B 13/12/62 a Laborer Cuban of Boca Del Rio San Pedro Town. A search of the car resulted in the discovery of a red cooler box with 18 parcel of suspected meth and a blanca soap powder box with 12 parcel of suspected meth to a total weight of 54.7 kilogram. Subjects along with the drugs and vehicle were escorted to the Orange Walk Police Station for processing and charges of drug trafficking.
