Cruise Ship in Belize gets the Go-Ahead plan development

Developer Michael Feinstein a Belizean businessman had received clearance by the authorities for a One Hundred Million dollars cruise destination island a 45 minutes ride near Belize City. Stake Bank eventually be able to dock six ships.  At this present time, it is 17 acres and will be filled at 32 acres linkage to the mainland by raised path. His plan of his future development in Belize named as Stake Bank conspicuous a view of many activities in the island.

This how the money will be spent on, with a  Mayan-themed park, lagoon, waterfalls, grottoes and a giant slide where riders splash down into a pool recreating the famous Blue Hole dive site. Swimmers and snorkelers can explore an underwater Mayan city. A marina, duty-free shops, restaurants, bars, a beach club, cabana rentals, water sports, and excursion and snorkel docks are other elements. There will be separate, ample crew facilities including apartments, a pool, bar, lap pool, outdoor grill and patio, basketball court and fitness area.

Feinstein was passed the bill by the  Belize Senate and House of Representatives to accede the company to collect fees from cruise ship and given duty free status and the money will  be shared by the Government. It doesn't mean that the price increases, it remains the same. If a cruise ship visits the site, it will be charged the double amount.

A 13 minutes raised path drive will be build surely in the next month. Financing has already been prepare to start the construction of the pier and will take 1.5 years. In the time allowed periodically, passengers will be taken by small boat to BTB - Belize Tourism Board.

In 2002, the founder of BTB Feinstein was gotten through two years  after by Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. and Diamonds International. Each year, about 40,000 cruisers a year were visiting Belize when the village opened, that number rapidly raised to 350,000 almost overnight and has now reached nearly one million  annually.

Belize Tourism Village was always intended to be a temporary facility prior to the construction of a dedicated cruise port. 'The existing facility in town that we built is not adequate. It's overcrowded,' Feinstein said. 'We're turning ships away.'

At the beginning, the island "Stake Bank" will be connected with two piers that can handle four vessels. The other will be used for the largest services in the future. One can be extended to moored two ships, and the other one will facilitate for large cruise ship.

The Stake Bank plans initially call for two piers that can each handle four vessels, the largest currently in service and planned for the future. One pier could be extended to berth two more ships, and extra vessels could anchor and carry passengers to the island with a boat. Belize has a lot of things  that can handle and much more tourists that happens to produce.  Things can be done for the capacity  to four times as much.

40% of the share of the company are intended to be controlled, Feinstein and his wife made talks with Carnaval Crops. about the uses of the agreement. The upland development will be work for Belizean companies  Strukture Architects, MM Engineering and Belize Drywall.

On Friday February 21, 2014 15 private planes had landed in San Pedro. They where flying around town and residence were quite puzzled to see so many planes above flying at once. It is not quite strange for the Caribbean Flying adventure to fly around the Caribbean and round the world. As Belize is being known for the popular sites and tourist attraction in Central  America, they came to spend the weekend in San Pedro Ambergris Caye. The people mentioned that they wanted to try something new and exciting. I would say our country is being known for its excellent services we have to offer. If you guys think of many private planes in San Pedro I wouldn't be surprised. I would say the last I saw so many planes was in 2005 six planes arrived in San Pedro. They were an organization by Air Journey.

Golden Casino in Free zone Shuts its door

Over ten years of services in the northern part of Belize on February 21st 2014 the Golden Princess Casino at the Corozal Free Zone herbys announced that their doors where closed on Friday morning. Over 135 workers were released on Friday February 21st out of 60 where laid-off. The reason on this matter is because the place went bankruptcy. Workers stayed jobless and where sent home. As far as the truth by an employee it was mentioned that the casino had been in a big loss and  bankrupt.

In getting any information it is difficult to understand the full details of why it shut down. At this time business had slowed down and makes even hard for our neighboring for the flow of traffic. On visiting the website approximately two hundred works were employed. About two months ago, the imminent shut-down was rumored, but for some reason the management were able to hide any secret for their employees.

On February 5th an emergency meeting was called along with House of representative to alter the four important bills. The meeting representation included Money Laundering and Terrorism (Prevention) (Amendment) Bill; the Financial Intelligence Unit (Amendment) Bill 2014; the Domestic Banks and Financial Institutions (Amendment) Bill, 2014 and the Companies (Amendment) Bill, 2014. Not likely, the resentment characteristics on the House of Meeting, while agreeing on the responsibility on the bills on the Opposition agreed on banking transparency legislations”  even if they weren't satisfied of the bills.

The realization is that the  more we comply the more higher the quality on wanting to continue to change, in a way, their is not always a satisfying, evaded, in my point of view, it will be lead to complete insidious offshore sector. But, the reality is that we must comply for the protection and preservation of our banking sector,” Leader of the Opposition Francis Fonseca said while speaking on the bills.

“ I completely agree with the Leader of the Opposition,” Prime Minister Barrow said. “ He’s perfectly correct. We have long been complaining, and it is very discouraging. These people say this is all in an effort to achieve a greater transparency, to stop trans-national crimes and that these things are necessary to preserve our democratic way of life. But, they’re going so far, that for small countries such as ours, some of their measures are actually going to result in retarding our democracy,” Prime Minister Barrow said.

Prime Minister agreed on behalf of the Leader of the opposition. On arguing in along term, it is very disappointed. The people say it is all about successfully performed. This livelihood living in democratic needs to be beyond boundaries. Being a small country,  is just making our country actually go in democracy.

Several new laws were presented for the Belize Financial Industry and also includes the casinos. That industry has another side beyond its sophistication, fascinating and bright lights. The reason it might had freak out the operation in the Corozal free zone, laws became more rigorous on  trafficking human, disguise money refuge. That may have caused the owners to flee the spot. To acquire that the building is going up for sale it was simply a migrate to mexico side.

Sources also say that the casino is simply migrating across the border to Mexico where pastures are greener and that the facility is being put up for sale. The asking price, we are told is $55 Million BZD.
