Carlos Perotte showcased his Steel Drum Concert

From July 22- August 8, 2013 Carlos Perotte put all his energy and effort to teach 60 plus students in his classes. Everyday was ineterested for the students as they had learnt new things. The different types of instrument they had where steel drum ,Garifuna drum, scrapper, Cuban box drum, and much more. In the three weeks classes each student had the experience to use the instruments and learnt the different types of instruments.


From ages 5-18 they the had the opportunity to learn the best instrument. On Agust 9, 2013 they held their concert. As the show was well presented and showcasing their unique moves to the music, the rythm of all presentation was excellent. Speaking to some students they say that they will try it next year. Each Student got their certificate of participation. Along with the students mayor Daniel got the opportunity to meet all the student. In surprise mayor Daniel Geurrero says ''it was and excellent view of what this students had done. They presented their show very well, as them being the first timer's.''
Carlos Perotte has been in Belize over ten years. He has been in the music industry for over 16 years. He learnt basically all the instrument.  Carlos Perrote introduced his new album "Omolewa Osain" with a live concert: Carlos Perrote and friends at the Bliss Center for the Performing on December 18, 2009 he introduced his new album "Omolewa Osain" is a Yoruba phrase meaning "Powerful Mind".Perotte explained that ''this was the first time he had come to San Pedro and was excited of seeing the student's learnt so fast in less than three weeks. ''It is all about the fun'' Perotte explained. It is to show Belize who we are so we try and bring musicians from different corners, different talents says perrote. he brings a lot to the table in terms of Belizean advancement of music here in Belize and we would be really nice for not just musicians but for those who like his music to come out and support.
